Sometimes It’s Artificial Stupidity

I was writing a post for Infinity Dental Web about harnessing the growing power of social media marketing and was looking for an infographic to illustrate all the tools we can now use for truly powerful social media marketing. I asked ChatGPT to create the infographic. What it came up with didn’t look very inspiring or attractive, so I turned to Gemini. The results were interesting.
I asked Gemini to show the components of advanced social media marketing and I listed them:
- Engagement
- Content Creation
- Using Influencers
- Paid Ad Management
- Analytics
While the result had an appealing appearance, which satisfied me. I liked the icons, and I liked the way it broke down the components, actually going beyond what I strictly asked it to do. However, I was struck by the typos in Gemini’s infographic. Here it is:
I was appalled at the multiple typos. Can you catch them all?
- Resposcyinsess
- Copywerpting
- Outrerach
- SOCIALA
- and “MEDIA” was left out of the center circle
So I went back to ChatGPT, uploaded the infographic and asked them to correct the typos, and got this infographic, which was suitable for posting:
It reinforces one of my maxims about artificial intelligence, and that is that it is no substitute for real intelligence. Bottom line is that you can’t fully trust what you get—you have to babysit the results.

Thanks for sharing this Dave! I too have found errors within local results listing the wrong address for clients. When pushed for where the data came from, the Ai basically said, “Oops, this is truly and error, we don’t always get things right.”
