Google Business Profile Posts

Posted by: kaycie
Google is strongly encouraging businesses to regularly post on their Google Business Profile (GBP). They are revamping the posting experience, ditching the old “Add Update” button for a sleek new “Posts” hub. This hub allows businesses to effortlessly create updates, offers, and events, making it easier to manage and edit existing content. The hub will be rolling out slowly over the next few weeks.
This redesign underscores Google’s push for increased posting frequency. If you are getting Local SEO services from us, we are posting weekly for you. If you’re not, let’s help you with that. Here are some expert tips to optimize your posts!
How to Post
- Consistency is Key: Post weekly to maintain an active profile. Regular updates signal engagement and reliability to customers and Google alike.
- Expand Your Reach: Don’t just post updates—include offers and events to showcase your business’s ongoing engagement with customers.
- Maximize Impact: Use high-quality visuals and compelling calls-to-action like “Call Now” or “Book Online” to drive interaction and conversions.
How To See Posts—Where They Appear
How your posts are seen depends on how your client or customer found you. If they used mobile search the posts appear in your Google business profile under the “by owner” tab. If they used Google Maps, the posts appear in the Overview Tab, and if they are using desktop search the posts show below your business description in the Knowledge Panel. You can see examples below.
Your Google Business Profile isn’t just a listing, it’s a dynamic digital storefront. Regular updates demonstrate your business’s vitality and customer focus, which Google rewards with improved visibility.
